We left El Calafate early and got to see the sunrise over the lake, and then we walked through the park, watching the glacier calf and enjoying magnificent scenery - the beauty around El Calafate are another of Argentina's joys.

Nothing prepares you for the beauty and scale of this glacier. It is truly a memorable experience. Take the boat trip and walk the galleries and spend as long as you can watching, the colours change by e minute. The ice falls and noise as huge lumps of ice crash into the lake are fantastic. It's a long way south...

We went by car to the park, good free parking space, also free park bus to the glacier. There are several walks you can do round the glacier. Well landscaped paths with enough places to sit and see the natural disaster of the glacier. Good advertising is this place for Argentina.
We had a great day out with Mundo Austral. We were picked up about 9 and driven the 80kms to the Moreno Glacier. We had originally wanted to walk on the glacier but although we are extremely fit, because we are over 65 we were not allowed to do the trek for insurance reasons. However our disappointment was short-lived because...

A really good day trip that you can't miss out on. There is a lot of hype surrounding Perito Merino and for us it didn't disappoint. It's quite an incredible sight and the walkways are well constructed to provide some excellent viewing. Don't miss out on it.
Thanks for an awesome, once in a lifetime experience! I did the shorter day due to the travel budget, however if i could i would have paid for the longer experinece. amazing time, spectacular photo's and the whisky.....best bar
A real trip highlight, and well worth the trip from BA. We took a small tour from El Calafate (something Mundo) with an English speaking guide (Ruben). It was excellent and well worth the additional paseos to have a guide.
We absolutely loved Perito Moreno Glacier. The crack!, splash and rumble of the glacier calving is one of my most vivid memories from our trip. The walk ways for viewing the glacier are amazing. The whole thing is very well done. I could stay there for hours just gazing at, watching and listening to the glacier ... and I did....

If you're in El Calafate the chances are you're planning to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. Like everyone else who has written a review, my partner and I thought it was incredible! We especially loved the 4hr trek across the glacier (big ice). For anyone with any interest in photography the glacier is the perfect opportunity to test out your...

We loved doing the glacier trekking at the glacier and highly recommend it! We had a very knowledgeable guide take us to the glacier (1.5 hour drive) then took a boat (30 minutes) to the glacier itself. They provide crampons and we spent 2 hours hiking. Incredible views and the bonus of whiskey on glacial ice at the end. It...
