My husband and I decided to go to Cerro Otto on our last day in Bariloche, because it was a short trip and we had an afternoon bus to catch to Mendoza. It's a quick drive from San Carlos de Bariloche, and you hop on a gondola for a ride up the mountain. The gondola does get hot in the... More

I had the chance to visit Bariloche during Feb/March, and one of the places to visit was Cerro Otto This is famous not only because of the amazing views, but also for the rotating cafeteria. The gondola that will take you up and down is $110 (around USD20). If you're a trekking fan, you can also go to the top... More

Have a cup of coffee in the rotating restaurant while enjoying the wonderful views. If you are fit, it is a nice 3 hour walk down and back to the parking lot down at the cable car

At 110 pesos (around $15 USD) the two way gondola trip is well worth it. The views are stunning at the top and you can enjoy a nice cheap coffee ($3) in the revolving cafe. Free bus from the centre of town. There is also wifi at the base and the cafe which is a nice touch.

You can ride a free bus that takes you to the gondolas and then to the top of Cerro Otto. Unfortunately, we had an exceptionally windy day that reduced the possibilities to be outdoors, yet the views from the restaurant were great too. The food was regular (I tried deer and it was tough). Service was OK.The restaurant itself didn't... More

Cerro Otto is really near Bariloche and you have a regular bus to take tourists there. When you arrive and get there you have a rotating restaurant and out there 360º of fantastic views

Breathtaking view of Bariloche from the top. Restaurant ok and not expensive. Ideal for families with small children.

Worth the trip up to see all of Bariloche. The rotating restaurant is nothing to write home about, but as a snack stop, it's okay.

Wonderful views - take your camera!Revolving restaurant is OK, with reasonable prices. Gondola was easy to get on and off - my 82-Year-old mom had no difficulty at all.

It's worth a trip to the top for the view and it's fun to ride in the gondola. Skip the restaurant, though. In a country where it seems impossible to produce mediocre food, they somehow manage. Must be the altitude.
