We enjoyed the baseball games and would like to have seen more. A very inexpensive way to enjoy MLB games

The first two weeks of Spring training were fine, after that the games were all sold out. The weekends of course were the worst.I am not spending 40 $ or more for a spring training game. After the 7th inning at Scottsdale stadium and after the 5th at Phoenix Municipal the gates open and watch a few innings for free.I spent all... We attended several Cactus League spring training games while in Phoenix. Great baseball and a good way to see today's stars in a small venue and up close!

Always wanted to do this. This year was the first and we may become regulars. What fun! We visited 4 parks, each unique. The weather in later March was 80+ every day. If you like baseball and warm sunshine, you will love it here. We pulled our trailer from SoCal and stayed at the Mesa Regal RV park. Just posted... More

We went to our first-ever spring training ball game just last week, and we had a great time. We went to Hohokum Field in Mesa, home of the Chicago Cubs---who will soon move into a brand-new facility. The weathewr was perfect, the hot dogs were great (a bit spendy, like all sports venue food). and the game was a delight.... More

Let spring/summer begin! Only had one opportunity to take in a spring training game between the Oakland A's and L.A. Angels but what an awesome experience despite a very windy and cool day. It was wonderful to see the players in action, eat a hot dog, and see the beautiful green grass of the ball field with blue skies as... More

Love the Phoenix area in mid-March for spring training baseball. About a dozen teams have or share facilities all around the Phoenix area so you do need a rental car to get around town. Traffic can be a bear, but having a GPS and paper maps to plan alternate routes help, as well as watching the news on TV or... More

Spring training in Arizona is a great time for baseball lovers. You get to see most of the teams of the major leagues as they try to discover the next Hall of Fame player for their team. My city, Surprise, Arizona, is host to the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals. I enjoy watching them each spring as they... More

All ball parks are so close together that you can easily drive to whichever team you want to see. The parks are small enough that you are guaranteed a great seat. Prices are amazingly inexpensive... sitting in the sun, watching a ball game - can it get any better?! I personally went to the Angels home park, but if I... More

A close friend and I go to many of the AZ Cactus League games. The prices are very reasonable, the ball parks are terrific and always enjoy seeing rookie players who eventually make it to the major leagues.
