We didn't enter the building but given a brief history lesson on the tourist bus!
It is a huge edifice, representing the strong bank system (as everywhere in the world). It is absolutely advisable to go inside to see the impresive interior. Bank hours in Argnentina are from 10AM to 3PM, Monday to Friday.
It's a very impressive building for its imponent size. It's right in front of the Casa Rosada and the Plaza de Mayo. You won't go in, it's just for pictures from the outside. This year, 2012, it shows some beautiful nighttime bluish lights
This is an impressive (in size) bank. I like architecture and the building is well preserved. I'm not crazy about their policies but, that's resident issue, not a tourist issue.
This bank does not exchange money for foreigners either at the airport or in the city. At the airport, I had to queue for 30mins before I saw the small handwritten sign that said no exchanges for foreigners. A quick trip through the bank is worth it to see the massive (world's third largest I believe) dome, which is quite impressive even when you've heard about it beforehand. One of the atractions you can see when going to Plaza de Mayo. A very beautiful bank on the same corner with Casa Rosada. Beautiful architecture.
