Tastings are normally in English (Spanish is ok on request), and at basically any time during the day or evening. Normally groups are quite intimate, but they also will take larger groups if requested in advance. The wine tasting generally starts on time and lasts about 90 minutes to two hours. They serve 5 limited production wines from boutique Argentine wineries and pair them with 5 specifically picked foods (locally produced food pairings). Wine is poured by the half-glass, with plenty of refills for anyone who wants them, but also no pressure to finish any glass. Food portions are snack-size, so you can still go out for dinner after a tasting.) They also offer private tastings to people who only want to taste reds, or malbecs, etc., as long as the special requests are put in ahead of time.If you like the wines (and you probably will!), you can purchase bottles on the spot, have them sent to your hotel, or have them shipped to a U.S. address. (Anuva offers a nifty direct-to-home shipping service.) You can also join their wine club, whereby they'll ship you a selection of Argentine wines to your home every quarter. You can sign up for a tasting online or call them with questions--they're very responsive and helpful.Overall, a great opportunity to taste Argentina's wonderful wines in little time and at a very low cost. « less

I am an "experienced" Malbec drinker, and have been for 3 decades. Anuva's presentation of the wines and "tapas" were very good, as was the setting. Unfortunately, all three Malbec wines provided during the tasting were about as bad as I have ever tasted, and I had heard of none of them previously. Anuva's spin on this is that they... More

Hi petergriffith, thank you for your review. We are very glad you liked our presentation, the food pairings and the setting. It is unfortunate you didn´t like the malbec you tasted, maybe it was not your style (although it has 91 points Robert Parker!). This is actually a good thing though and it means you never have to buy it!... More

Thank you for a great wine tasting. Awesome experience, greats wines. I went home with two! The people leading the wine tasting were extremely knowledgable. It was great learning about wines that were unavailable otherwise. I love learning about boutiquet wines.

Private wine tasting experience with a very knowledgeable owner. We tasted and learned in detail about 5 different wines (not just reds) and the food pairings were nicely done.

We had a fantastic time at Anuva. Cara our host was very informative and lots of fun. We tasted a variety of wines from the Mendoza region which were all very good. The group of people there that night were very interesting and fun to spend time with. The food pairings were unique and complimented each wine perfectly. The pours... More

Poppy was our host and she did a great job. The varied wines she presented were from boutique wineries and we enjoyed learning about them. The pairings really enhanced the flavors of the wines. We shared this wine tasting experience with a group of people from all over the world and it was so much fun to hear their perspective... More

We had a fantastic time at Anuva, and it was one of our favorite experiences in Buenos Aries! Cara was a wonderful and charming hostess and taught us a great deal about Argentina's wines and wine regions. The pours were generous and the food parings excellent. We were also able to ship home to the states a case of wine... More

Being a wine newbie, I was extremely impressed with the way our Hostess Poppy was able to manage the group of both more experienced "winos" and the less experienced. She was very knowledgable and guided us through each wine first letting us draw some conclusions and then pointing out the specifics that we weren't able to put out finger on.... More

I used to live in Argentina seven years ago, so when I went back last month with a group of girlfriends, I had a hard time finding a wine tasting that was English-speaking (for my friends) but was truly authentic to the wine culture of Argentina. I read about Anuva Wines in the Time Out Guide, made a reservation, and... More
