If your country is in economic crisis, don't have a zoo. You can see though they're trying but it's just not happening. We found lots of the animals were in enclosures of their own with nothing to do (many enclosures lacking any sort of stimulation for them). The Sun Bears were standing up waving for food. The Orangutan was patting... More

This is a small zoo in the middle of the city, so some of the negative reviews covered are partially true, but please give credit to this zoo, as they are trying to make the animal enclosures better and they are reforming several of the animal enclosures. I was lucky to visit on a Saturday morning when not a lot... More

This is, by far, the worst zoo that I have ever been visited. I was just there around Christmas and there was a heat wave. There wasn't sufficient shade for the animals, many were missing, and I later found out that the polar bear died. There were deer/rabbit animals running around lose and lots of birds out of cages too.... More

The capuchin monkeys at Bueonis Aries zoo really sum up the situation - one group of them are housed in a nice enclosure on an island with plenty of space whilst two others are in a tiny enclosure that is many years old and in need of maintenance or simply pulling down. A new Hippo pool is being built and... More

Though there are more depressing zoos, this was definitely one of the sadder ones that I've been to. Tons of animals didn't have enough space, and it had to be way too hot with not enough shade for far too many of them as well. Elephants are gregarious creatures, and this one was all alone. The giraffe was so hungry... More

Most of the facilities were remodeled in the 1940s! So the architecture is great, but unfortunately it has not been kept up and a number of exhibits are closed or in renovation. All the animals are in pens that are very close, so you can get up quite close which for small children is very exciting. It is not too... More

I decided to check out the zoo on my way back to Palermo Hollywood from the Evita Museum. Guidebooks tell you that you should see the zoo because of the South American animals you won't see anywhere else. I wish I hadn't, as I wound up nearly in tears after seeing the clearly unhealthy and anxious polar bear pacing backwards... More

The Buenos Aires Zoo seems to be deciding what to become, or not to become. It is a traditional Victorian style zoo with animals in small areas, eazy to see. Good for viewer, bad for animals? The zoo has beautiful grounds, surrounded by the city, and is easy to get to. Right on the Subte "D" linea in the Palermo... More

This zoo is a little worn out, I've been to many animal type attractions around the world with amazing animal shows and this had none! Was run down but OK. 3/5 for me

We had a great time at the zoo! We went during the week so it wasn't too busy and overcrowded as many places in BA can become! We bought a bucket of the animal food inside the gates (25 pesos from memory) and it was so much fun!! From the weird little rabbit/deer looking things roaming free through the grounds,... More
