Great way to get overview of city. Loved being able to get on and off and got to spots we might not have gotten to otherwise.

Two days pass included lots. Some sights are too far to make public transit a good option. We were able to enjoy Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and a lunch in Camps Bay. I love the Hop on Hop off buses as I travel alone and it's a great way to see town without having to worry about taxis or walking alone. A great introduction and orientation. Commentary really good and regular and helpful service. In summer very frequent and even in winter red bus every 20 minutes.

We tried it with our 2 kids (1 and 2) and it is a really interesting way to see the city. Crew are really nice with kids.

I bought the 2 day ticket and took both the red and blue tours including the side trip for wine tasting. The buses were always on time, commentary through ear phones is excellent and even though the blue and red tours shared some of the same route, the commentary was different. average hop on hop off bus. they give you headphones to listen to the descriptions of places. we got off at a beach and walked around, which we probably wouldn't have seen if didn't get on the bus. they did shut down service without finishing the route (our stop was at the end) and we had to get off literally...
