Going on safari is an incredible experience. You are not really prepared for what your about to experience. The first thing we saw entering the park was an elephant, then zebras and warhogs, we were told by are guide the wild dogs were a rare occurence. We saw 3 of the big 5.

You cannot rate this experience. Anything you see in Kruger, is based on pure luck and good timing. I have been to Kruger twice in the rainy season, and you cannot decide, what you want to see. The animals do not have tracking devices, as some do in the private reserves. You cannot go to Kruger and order a lion... More

While in the park for several days we went on several game drives all of which were at night and with the park's employees. We did not go on any private game drives. The driver of the vehicle is the key to a good or poor night game drive. We don't think there are any really poor drives, however the... More

We went on two drives and the guides were brilliant - most knowledgeable. They were also expert on the constellations so when we were not looking at animals, we were looking at stars

It's really so special to go Africa and see wild animals which you always see on tv. But you really need to push your driver to see something wilder rather than birds!!!

Don't dismiss a game drive from Phalaborwa gate! Not only are the guides amazing but they know the movements of the game intimately. This area is also a leopard haven at the moment and eland, caracal and wild dogs have also been seen. Well worth the effort.

What a wonderful experience. We have visited this game park twice, June of 1994 and again in June 2010. For anyone interested in seeing natures animals up close and personal, this is the place. Best to spend several days within the park. Several camps are available

Kruger Game Park covers hundreds of square miles on the eastern border of South Africa. It borders Mozambique and Swaziland to the east, Zimbabwe to the north and is east of Johannesburg. The big bonus of travelling all around it in a rental car is that you can follow any of the miles of dirt road you choose at any... More
