the rides are great for adults and children. there is a wave pool with a bar that has party nights for clubbers. there is a restaurant that sells local food and drinks. staff are friendly. rides are highly recommended such as the anaconda, a large roller coaster through the trees and with twist and turns and fast and slow sections....

The rides are for smaller children. The fun fair was overrun with schoolchildren in school uniform who were rude and pushy. Dancing was scheduled infrequently and I felt it was designed for the tourists. The gold mine tour, gold pouring and museum definitely interesting. Not a bad experience, but OK.
We went on a team building experience but it would be great for everyone. All the rides are lots of fun and they have a section for children with smaller rides which looked brilliant too.
If you want to find out about Johannesburg's Gold Mining roots or just want to have day of roller coasters and rides, there is something for everyone. As the sun sets the adults can go to the gold reef city casino and play for some real gold!
Expensive not really sure it was good value for money the day we went, many of the rides were shut. The cashiers at the entrance were busy chatting and lolling about seemingly too busy to serve customers :/ The mine tour was very good, the historical information interesting, the science lab was fun.
Plenty of vairiety at Gold Reef City. Thrilling adventurous rides for teens and younger adults. Circus was a free throw-in but it was good fun, if not too exciting. Prices are fairly steep but they do cover a days' entertainment. The food at Gold Reef City is not good (very standard hot dogs and haburgers) but you cannot take in...

I must say the history of Gold Reef City has always been of great interest to me. The rides and 3D show is just the icing on the cake.
I loved the theme park however I was very disappointed to enter and find out more than 6 of the most exciting rides were closed due to renovations. We paid R330.00 for 2 people only to find half the rides do not work. The staff were very friendly except the lady at Miners Revenge. The food options were good for...

Always a great day out with the family and a good venue to take overseas visitors provided it is not during peak times or school holidays otherwise the queues are too long for the rides
