Rosebank Mall is a great place to get some shopping done. It's actually made up of The Mall of Rosebank (the original mall) and has since had The Zone added onto it (a newer section, which has recently had it's second phase completed).

This is a huge Mall - really a collection of indoor malls, outside dining areas, an African Market and a huge Flee market in the parking lot next to the African market (on Sunday anyway)
The complex is big enough that it doesnt feel like a closed in gated area like most other Johannesburg malls

Not the best shopping area that we have visited but was very clean and safe. Very disappointed that most of the clothes were made in China. The local market was a bit of fun but did not like being "harassed" by the stall holders.

The vibe and genral buzz is invigorating. The african craft market and the Roof Top market are interesting and worht a visit.
