The totem Bight state park is a combination of the lumberjack show if purchased on a Cruise ship. Its very unique in its own way that it takes you back into history. Viewing these 60 foot tall Totems are amazing as each one is different and a story is behind all of them. the museum is also worth going to... More

We took the blue bus to Totem Bight State Park, right from the cruise ship terminal. The trails are easy to walk and the view is nice from the park. There is no fee to get into the park, however the blue bus cost $8 each way. This was much cheaper than taking the excursion from the cruise ship. It... More

Totems with great descriptions in a lovely park setting by the water. Volunteers there to explain and the signage is quite good and informative. While these totems are not from the 1800s, they are well done by people who knew all about them. The lodge house is also quite nice. A definite must. There are quite a few totems and you... More

I recently spent a day in Ketchikan as part of a cruise and decided to visit Totem Bight. It was easy to get to on the city bus which picked up right near creek street. Tip, don't try to get on the bus near the dock if there are multiple cruise ships in port. The bus was full and only... More

This state park is a ways out on north Tongass Highway, but worth the drive if you can make it. Great beach for tide pooling and lots of interesting history with the lodge house and totem poles.

Totem Bight is easy to get to from downtown Ketchikan, with a twenty-five minute ride on the city bus (only $1 each way, or you can buy a day pass for $2). The blue-line bus runs once per hour, and that is plenty of time to walk around the park - we caught the bus near the library. There is... More

Nice grounds which made a nice stroll looking at totems but as I understood it they are replicas, not the originals. Still very informative.

Definitely liked stopping by the park.. So much to do in Ketchikan would definitely suggest seeing Misty Fjords and Potacha park first

We recently took a cruise to Alaska and wanted to visit Bight State Park (we heard it was much more authentic than where the cruise excursion would have take us). The park is small but very interesting. We were there on a Sunday and did not see anyone working but that may be different during the week. You basically walk... More

This is a nicely kept small state park. You can do it in 15 minutes and get to see Totem poles and a house where up to 30 individuals lived. If you can get a tour guide you will get more out of the park.
