Whilst in Juneau we took the helicopter ride up to the glacier for dog sledding. The helicopter ride was an interesting experience for me because I've never done it before. The dog sledding was ok but the overpowering smell of dog's pooh is slightly off-putting. This excursion is a huge money spinner I would imagine and the way it is... More

My wife and I along with our 17 year old daughter took a cruise out of Seattle at the end of July 2012. Our first stop was in Ketchikan and we had a dog sledding tour booked but the rain grounded the helicopter. We immediately booked the Juneau Icefield Expedition through the cruise ship. Two days later we were afraid... More

On July 14, 2012 myself, my son, my buddy and his son, were blessed with the lifetime experience of Dog Sledding on Mendenhall Glacier. It was a beautiful day, sunny, 60's, the guide was only wearing a tee shirt. We had taken an Alaska cruise out of Seattle, Juneau was our second port. We took a Helicopter ride (TEMCO- was... More

My family and I went on an Alaskan cruise, but booked this excursion in Juneau directly with the vendor (its cheaper to do this than booking through the cruise lines and very easy). Overall, it was a very fun and exciting experience - a helicopter took us for a quick tour that ended at the top of the glacier at... More

We did this excursion as a treat for our wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely worth it. The helicopter tour over the glacier was unforgettable, and every moment of our time at the dogsledding camp was fun and exciting. Bring sunglasses, it's bright up there! Though they do provide them for you if you don't bring yours. Musher Matt Hall... More

We booked through the Celebrity Infinity excursion desk because it was sold out to do it in Juneau. Worked out for the best, because we ended up going on an awesome whale-watching cruise with Captain Jack in Juneau and visiting the Denver Glacier Dogsled Camp in Skagway. Gorgeous helicopter ride right from the pier. 240 dogs that spend their summers... More

took this Port Adventure while onboard the Disney Cruise ship "Wonder" during our Alaska cruise. both the helicopter ride up over the Mendenhall Glacier and the ride on the dog sledding was super awesome. beautiful scenery, we arrived after a nightfall of fresh snow. can't wait to do this again on our return cruise trip

We planned our trip to Alaska for over a year and one of the things that was a "must see" for us was to go dogsledding on the glacier in Juneau. After much research, we decided upon Alaska Icefield Expeditions to take us on our trip. This is not an excursion that is cheap, but it is worth every penny... More
