This was wonderful. We saw so many whales. We were so close to them, right next to the boat swimming. Alaska is wonderful, I see why my best friend lived there such a long time.

Captain Greg's Weather Permitting Alaska whale watching tours come highly recommended. Weather Permitting's tours are offered on a small boat with a wide flat platform that is perfect for photographers. Sight lines are excellent with plenty of room to move about. A tiny platform for viewing at the stern of the boat is also accessible to guests. On the several... More

Thank you very much for your very kind words. The whales enjoyed seeing you as much as you enjoyed seeing them. In regards to full day trips we can, and often do them. We even have had week long photographic expeditions which includes kayaks so you can get those eye level shots. We also have the option of having people... More

I have to admit I am a southern belle and have to be treated with the utmost care. As soon as we boarded the uniquely designed boat with its indoor seating, I knew my husband and I were in for a treat. And, quite literally we were. Our captain's exceptional wife joined us with a tray of her locally famous... More

We went whale watching with Captain Greg and First Mate Henry. Both men were very friendly and able to share their love & knowledge of Alaska to make a four hour trip over much too soon. The stories told were very intersting . We saw humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, sea otters & bald eagles, with the sound of wolves... More

Had the pleasure of joining a whale watching tour on Juneau this summer. I was kind of apprehensive at first since many times I gone of tours that are all hype and no substance, however, this was the opposite. We were 5 minutes into the tour when we ran into two Orca whales just swimming near the shore. A few... More

We spent a great afternoon whale watching with Captain Greg. Saw humpback whales, sea lions and bald headed eagles. Snacks were excellent and the whole experience was awesome. Don't bother even looking anywhere else as this trip cannot be beaten!! Thanks to Captain Greg and his crew.

If you are looking for a superlative day on the water in Juneau, Alaska, Weather Permitting should be your first stop. A small, comfortable boat--a friendly, knowledgeable captain, and the best snacks around--plus you will DEFINITELY see humpbacks, Steller's sea lions and, if you are lucky, orcas. Not to be missed!
