We booked and paid the trip in full one month in advance. We went to their office to check in the day before the scheduled trip, as they had recommended, but their office was closed. We phoned and were told we could check in by phone and that everything was all right for the next day (it was 6 pm),... More

Dear Rome, Italy, Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to explain our policies and procedures on Trip Advisor. My staff and I remember you and this situation well. We take safety very serious! On the morning of your trip one of our pilots had already been across the Cook Inlet and determined the cloud layer was too low to... More

This is an amazing, once in a lifetime adventure with great pilots and guides. They got us very close to the bears and we felt safe the whole time. We even had an added bonus of having a wolf cross the field very near our position. Got great photos. Well worth the money. More

My trip with my two sons to Alaska was the adventure of a lifetime. It was a graduation present for my oldest son. Of all the activities we enjoyed in our trip, the bear viewing trip was at the top. The flight alone is worth the money. The flight to Lake Clark National Park took about 1 hour from Homer. During... More

My husband and I were not disapointed in this wild experience! I centered a lot of our Alaskan vacation around this trip, and it met all of my expectations. It was an adventure, from the exciting flight in a 6 person plane (counting the pilot) with views of glaciers & circling an active volcano up close, to the acutal several... More

My husband and I did this trip last summer. We have amazing pictures. The whole experience was absolutely wonderful!! This is an absolute must for the outdoor, bear enthusiast!! The K Bay Air team was great. I would definitely do this again. As a matter of fact, we are going to try to go back to Alaska next summer &... More

What an experience! This is the airline to use. Friendly, professional and well equipped. They showed us bears and live vulcanos as an extra. They sometimes fly to Hallo Bay where there is another company working but do not even think of staying at Hallo Bay with the other company, see our comments under Hallo Bay. You can also download... Yes its expensive about $600 each, but its all my husband has spoken about since we got back. You can;t put a price on that and will stay with you forever. The bears walked up to us literally only 3 metres or so away, and you could hear their claws digging up the clams on the beach. The mother bears... More

The entire experience was fabulous. The pilot/guide was professional and made us feel safe but at the same time the flight and bear adventure was exciting. We flew over the glacier and had a great up-close view of bears and a wolf - in a stand off with a bear. Many thanks from Nikki Petersen and Ernie Strong. More

This is a lifetime's experience: Fitted with "Alaskans sneakers" in a small airplane (Cessna 206) flying to Katmai National Park, landing on the beach between driftwood an low tide mud and there are the bears. Great animals, luckily uninterested in us humans. Now I understand why we shouldn't bring salmon for lunch: we had lunch within a few meters from... More

September 9 was the first clear sunny day in Homer in a week and we had chosen that day for our bear adventure. We departed about 2:30 in two Cessna 206 aircraft for Hallo Bay. Enroute we were up close and personal with a large, beautiful glacier. Upon arrival, we circled the area and observed many bears. After landing on... More
