Our little family (parents with an 11 year old) did a day trip with Alaska Fjordlines from Skagway to Juneau visiting the city and the Mendenhall glacier and it turned out to be one of the biggest highlights in our 3 week Alaska tour. We saw lots and lots of wildlife: bubble fishing humpback whales (fabulous), uncountable sea lions, seals,... More

We loved this trip! Captain Glen and Anna are very nice and it feels a like a private tour. Gary, the bus captain is knowledgeable and funny and the tour at Mendehall Glacier was grand! More

On our recent Juneau family vacation we enjoyed a wonderful whale watching tour with Alaska Fjordlines. The M/V Fjordland is a perfect boat, very comfortable and with great viewing from both inside and outdoor deck. The adventure starts with the bus ride--driver Gary makes it such an enjoyable drive. We even got to see a bear cross the road in... More

If you are in Juneau, this is a fantastic excursion! We were picked up at our cruise ship dock in Juneau and driven in a comfortable large van, on a scenic 25 minute drive to Yankee Cove. There we boarded a customized 65 foot, stable, smooth riding catamaran. This is a family owned and operated business and they did everything... More

My wife and I were on a 23 day motorcycle ride to Alaska. We stopped for 3 days in Haines, spending one day taking the day ferry to Juneau. Included in the trip was a short motor coach ride to Mendanhall Glacier in Juneau and about 3 hours time for shopping downtown. The ferry crew members were an outstanding group... More

We were tipped off by a fellow traveller that the catamaran from Skagway to Haines to Juneau and back was a terrifc day trip. The advice was correct! Alaska Fjordlines is very professional and made every moment a pleasure. The whale and dolphin watching was superb and there was enough time in Juneau to enjoy the amazing losbter served at... More

Great trip with a friendly staff and crew. We say a nice humpback within 30 seconds of leaving dock. There was only 2 other families on the trip so we had the whole ship to ourselfs. The staff was extremely knowlegable about the local marine life and found the whales every time. Price as extremely competitive vs. the crowded tours... More

The very best. Captain and family were first rate. We saw dozens of whales, and heard and saw them spout. Sea lions on the banks. I can't say enough good things about this whale watching trip, and the people involved. The boat was perfect - not too big and not too small. More

I visited Juneau with a group on a cruise last June. We wanted to see the city, visit the Mendenhall Glacier and go whale watching. After much research I made a booking with Alaska Fjordlines who organised the whole excursion including a two hour charter on their own boat - the Fjordland. This turned out to be the highlight of...
