The short hike and the beautiful waterfall would be enough to make this worthwhile, but getting there on horseback made it over the top. Our travel agent from CR Referrals suggested we do it this way. With the help of Desafio Adventure it became a reality. We were picked up at our hotel and driven just to the outside of... More

Beautiful! A really fun hike. There were bridges to go over, and we walked through a "banana plant forest" (in my children's words) More

If you are visiting the Monteverde area this is an spot you should make some time to check out. The hike into the waterfall took us about 40minutes nothing too strenuous it was done by a 55 year old man and a 10 year old girl. The waterfall is spectacular and the water is ice cold and clear as ice.... More

Our hike to the San Luis Waterfall was an energetic endeavor on a trail that several times crossed the stream coming from the waterfall. Parts of the trail were narrow, but were bordered with ropes to help you along. The waterfall itself was spectacular. The upper falls could only be partly seen dropping into a pool, from which the water... More

The waterfall is very beautiful. The hike is fairly easy. Bring your bathing suit - the water is very cold but it feels very refreshing. Stop by the Cheese Factory on the way back for some ice cream or shakes More

It is a half hr hike to the waterfall. A little muddy and slippery in just a few places but well worth the hike More

Its a lovely hike up to the falls, the pool is small, and we didnt get in because the sun wasnt out. Great family farm, and not too crowded. The perfect day activity. I would wear shoes cause the bridges and rocks are slick! More

We spent very little time in Monteverde but many people had suggested we do the hike to San Luis waterfall. Despite my boyfriend feeling sick from something he ate, we trekked the 45 minutes or so to the waterfall. It was so worth it! The hike was not easy as there's a lot of hills and it was slippery so... More
