We loved the walk around the bund, it is truely special with the old side of Shanghai and the amazingly tell buildings across the river. The dinner over the bund area was amazing excellent.

The bund means Shanghai's today and past. The buildings can tell you a lot about the past of Shanghai. Today, you can find the most premier hotels, restaurants and retail stores there. Take a walk and have a drink on the top of these historical buildings is a must for your trip to Shanghai.

I thought I may be some what bored but what a great place rich in history and information! Take the time to visit, you won't be disappointed!

If you want to have a basic cultural tour in Shanghai, The Bund and XintianDi are a must! I don't recommend you to buy souvenirs from there - they are so expensive, and you never know the real price - they always ask foreigners for a lot of money. The architecture of the past, on one side of the river and the dramatic contast of the New China in the Pudong district make this a great example of balancing the city skyline.

I walked the entire length on the Bund, either end was good because the crowds were less but in the middle near Nanjing road it was a frigging nightmare. Nothing to do but take photos of the Finance tower and the Pearl Tower.

We were there at night and ride the Cruise along the Bund and it was spectacular. Things that I don't really enjoy is people like to push and they don't tolerate with you. Went again in the morning to see a different view. As I mention it was nice.

Our tour guide took us here. We found the exhibits very interesting. We were only able to spend 2 hours here, I wished for more time.
