This is one of the most informative museums I have been to. They tell the true history and the artifacts to show it. It is very well laid out.

My wife and I were touring the old historical part of Mobile and stumbled on this museum. We had not even planned on visiting, but we are very glad that we did.
The exhibits were well done and the history of the area is amazing. Seeing the old carved out canoe that was only found in 1976, yet dates back...

Great care was obviously taken to create exhibits which are historically accurate and considerate of modern sensibilities. The permanent exhibit provides a seemingly thorough survey of the city's history and its economic drivers. The museum is across the street from the Mobile Visitor Center and Fort Conde. Free parking is available across from the fort.
I love the City of Mobile Museum. It has on display a great part of American History, and specifically southern history. If you are interested in learning about how our nation overcame slavery, built great ships, and the growth of the south, this is the place. oh... and its only 5 bucks....

Living in Mobile, we try to visit local attractions. I was surprised with the amount if information packed into a small space. The price was reasonable. Our Sunday afternoon was enjoyable.

We visited with kids 3 and 5 who were a little bored, but their current "rotating exhibit" deals with superheroes and they have a little area where you draw a superhero...

I ws very disappointed at the way theyleft so many City treasures out of this Museum than what was in the old one. So I haven't cared to goback. Nor take my guests to Mobile.
Excellent museum with diverse exhibits. We were amazed at the large size of the museum. It took us several hours to see it all.
Doesnt cost alot and its Not very big but nice and interesting things to see. Good location. Parking might be a little tricky.
