During our first trip to Malacca, we noticed that the building is pretty much adjacent to all scenic spots of the city, around 10 -15 mins walk. The river, Sam poo kong house, and pretty much everything else. I'd recommend for anyone staritng their tour in Malacca to start from here.

The body of St. Francis Xavier I believe was the one I saw in Goa (India) at the same church as this one in Melaka. If you like this sort of connections and history, pay a visit to this church can be a good experience. Have a quite moment inside the church.

It's wonderful to attend the Mandy Thursday in this Church. It's great to listen to the sermon in four languages, Malayan, English, Tamil, and Chinese. The songs are also sung in those languages. This is a multinations church. The important thing that you need to know, when you visit this church, pay attention to the altar. There is amural of... More

It's part of the square, if you do take a walk a little away. Its more well kept in the church and a beautiful feeling when sitting inside.

Like most things in Malaca it is small and not a lot to see although it is interesting to see Saint Francis Xavier's original tomb and there is a very pleasant breeze and view from the top of the hill. Quite a few steps on the downside.

Been here once and passing by this church often during my holiday in Melaka, looks just so so. if you see this church from the Melaka riverside you will see that the church is little bit slant to the right side.

The place is full of local seating on the grass, disrespecting this historical place, it's more a like a cheep flee market open air free for all, than an museum side. Not worth the walk about.
