You will find all the top hotels, restaurants and bars. I frequented many bars and restaurants in the area, and all of them had a descent service and food. The shopping area of Esplanade was quite nearby.

This is the place if you wanna mingle with the crowd. Britis era restaurants mix well with modern up scale resto bars. The street buzzes with activity. Good drive...

This street is completely different form other areas (at least part of it) with big beautiful buildings in good shape, nice shops, good walking pavements. Further South it becomes more 'Indian' but close to the metro it looks almost 'western'

This is indeed the specialty of Kolkata with many famous shops and restaurants. If you are in Kolkata this place is a must visit.

Park Street (which runs one-way) also called Mother Teresa Sarani offers a wide range of services including quality shops and restaurants hence represents a nice central base for a stay in the city. Most taxi drivers even know it! Don´t laugh, we could not believe that so many cabbies had such limited knowledge of their own city and English language.... More

Park street is really the place to be in kolkata....There are some really nice Pub, restaurants to hangout...Park Hotel is a nice place to stay in....Nice for the shopping freaks.......If you are driving...difficult to find a parking and check the one way timmings...
