Darjeeling looked very beautiful in the movie BARFI. Tiger hill is quite a attraction when visiting Delhi. Apart from that only Tea gardens are there for which darjeeling is famous for. Some good restaurants are there to eat delicious darjeeling food, momos are famous. No difference will be found if you have visited Manali, shimla.

Beautiful place if you are a nature lover. You have to get up early in the morning and reached early because later on there will be chance of traffic block at the top of the hill. Nice to see color of sky at the dawn. It was very cold there but with tea enjoyment was double. Some foreign tourist (... More

Enjoy the beauty of Sunrise with hot coffee / tea. But don’t wait to finish the coffee/tea at the earliest possible time – or else it will be cold like water. If you are lucky – then will be able to watch pick (small) of Mount Everest also.

It is unwise to visit Tiger hill to see Sun rise mansoons and particularly in May/June..we travelled 14 kms in the chill early morning of may 23, 2013 getting p at 3-30 am paying Rs 100oplus ticket to see Sun and got disappointed. We could see thick clouds but no Sun.An announcement was made by officials that sun rise cannot be... I went on the month of Nov..It was very cold morning....but I am lucky as the sky was very much clear... I started from hotel at 3:30 AM. but be cautious if your age is above 60 or you have small baby, then don't go...coz you can end with breathing problem at this high altitude & may get cold stroke(Hypothermia).

We were told that this will have a very scenic sun rise, but not sure. We woke up at 3:30 AM to visit this place which is 15 KMS from the town. If you go late (after 4:30) to this place, you will end up in traffic atop the mountain. The sunrise is expected around 5:00 AM.

This is a must see whilst visiting Darjeeling or Gangtok - be worned you must wake up very early in order to reach the summit of Tiger Hill (approx 4am), there will be queue once you near the top so most people get out of their cars and walk the remaining bit... Once the sunrises you won't be dissapointed. As... More

A very good place to be..but the approach road is in very bad shape..!! however, once you reach the top, it feels like that you are out of this world..!! The only challenge here is that you dont get to see the mountains if there is fog..!!

We somehow though this would be a zen experience where we would watch a lovely sunrise in a calm setting on Tiger Hill. In this case, LP was correct. There was a procession and traffic jam of vehicles dropping off their cargo of tourists near the top of this hill. The sun rise (4AM!) over Kanchenjunga was as advertised! So... More
