the beach is strewn with all kinds of filth and dirt. should keep garbages inside the beach and motivate the people to use the same.
Easy to reach by auto. It's crowded though and a bit dirty. It was a bit smelly also. There were even glass bottles near the beach area so one needs to be careful.
Had been here with my wife through public transport. Commute was too good, while we reached to the beach, we saw shops every where. People coming to you and selling things. Throwing garbage... There was little or no cleanliness on the beach. But yes People were enjoying it and it felt better than Juhu here.
Marina beach Chennai India is the second longest beach in the world where Chennai come beach.
It is very hard to find any Chennai resident who has not visited Marina

very long beach and it takes miles to reach water .. very huge and due to vast area it is not cleaned properly. Try to get close to water and you will feel cleanliness.
Last weekend being the summer vocation, I have visited Chennai Marina Beach. Local food, specially the 'Fish Baggi' was superb. Many hops sell fancy items which are also at a good bargain.
This is a place which should be kept clean for the tourists as people from across the globe do visit this place. But unfortunately the place is overcrowded and dirty, parking here is a night mare and no cleanliness.
What a beautiful beach. But it could have been more clean. In fact I faced the same problem with cleanliness everywhere in south India.
