I was at Vijaydurg in March. Its a green region with lottsa mango trees. Its the home of hapus mangoes. The area is full of coconut, banana, chickoo, pineapple, etc trees The Vijaydurg fort in addition to its ancient history gives great views of the sea, sunset and moon. There is also a beach near padel which is pristine clean... More

Blessed are those born on this coast with Arabian sea to the West & Green carpeted hills to the East. Farmers,Fishermen & warriors living harmony with history written everywhere. Do taste the famous Konkan/Malvani food and Lick your fingers till you reach your home.

I am from konkan. Its the land of my ancestors. It hurts to see the beautiful coastline getting littered by plastic. mostly thrown by unmindful visitors. The sea is our God. and we are throwing trash in it. Visit murud, diveagar, alibaugh, karde, devrukh, you will notice plastic bottles, plastic straws, plastic bags, chocolate wrappers, wafer packets and loads of them... More
