Going to the Zoo means different things for each of us… yet it is unifying in seeking to see wild animals almost in their natural habitat!
The huge elephants, the royal lion, the tigers and leopards… the perpetually sleepy crocodiles, the monkeys, the deer – the neel gai… and the peacocks and the kakatuas, the beautiful birds are all there…...

This place is huge. There are a lot of animals present here. A huge variety of bird species also present. Only downside is, you will get tired of walking. A great place to spend full day and have piknik.

Went to the zoo with the intention of making my 3 year old kid to have some knowledge about wild animals. The experience was pretty bad. The zoo is very poorly maintained. Boring, huge territory, but all the animals are hiding inside... No good facilities to rest from heat and refreshments. I had a very poor experience there. While you are trying to make picture of any animal there, local public will take a lot of pictures of you, with you and with you on the background.

Don't really like zoos and captive creatures but felt...

Please do not visit this if you are in Delhi as a tourist from Europe, America or basically any country that has decent zoos. It's absolutely not worth it.
If you live in Delhi however, it is well worth a visit when the temperatures allow it (basically November and late February early March). It is nice, peaceful spot away from...
