Worst and biggest SCAM area in india with Directly zoo authority engagement.

Far....far....Better Kolkata Alipur zoo authority, Atleast they have human Beings.

First of all, At least the Kolkata zoo authorities don't take away food from children's (except whatever age) mouths in the name of "safety".

Zoo authorities have taken another initiative to steal money from people's pockets by the name car facility inside the zoo. People fight to get a seat inside the cars.

Went there after more than a decade and was impressed by the maintenance and cleanliness all around. The ticket was around 80₹ and battery vehicle to take us around costed around same price to take us around the zoo.
Food not allowed is added with no cafe and canteen inside zoo too😏 only water is allowed. Washrooms are neat. Takes around 2-3 hrs to see all animals and birds. Ostrich are a delight to see and so are the pretty colourful birds.
Tickets need to be booked online a day before.

Visited today, means first Sunday of dec2023, I did online ticket booking, which was very easy and comfortable one day before. Ample Parking space available at the zoo.
Eatables are not allowed inside the zoo, however water bottles are allowed. I opted Battery operated vehicle to roam around the zoo, which was a nice experience.

Overall good experience, but entry gates are not so flowless, it's a time taking process, long queue and mismanagement observed...

The booking and entry process to this Zoo detracted from any positive experience that could possibly be inside. We arrived expecting a nice day at the Zoo around 11:00am. On arrival we discovered by speaking to other visitors, that you can’t buy tickets as they are only available online. It took nearly half an hour and three different payment cards to buy tickets as the app was so flakey. We then discovered that you needed to buy tickets either before or after 12:30pm. As it was 11:45 by then, we decided to get post-12:30 tickets. We filled the time by going to the fort next door. Around 1:15 we returned to find huge queues snaking all around the exterior. The zoo’s policy of having two entry times clearly caused this. There was no indication of which queue to join, as unusually for Delhi, there were hardly any English signs. We joined a queue next to a lawn which appeared ( by the smell) to be being watered with raw sewage. We also had to endure a constant series of over-loud tannoy announcements in Hindi. When we eventually got to the front of the queue the QR code we had downloaded earlier had disappeared and we had to sign back in to the app to retrieve it. To add insult to injury the drinks we purchased while we were in the queue, were confiscated…….And that’s before we saw any animals!

i rate a 2 star in my experience because when i visited the zoo on last saturday with my family the ticket was a long line and the tickets was on online too but there was a mess in booking tickets online because the site was laggy and glitchy and sometimes whenever you touch something it will kick you outside of the website and if you manage to stay in the website you do not have the option to pay through upi it have only card payments however there are some people that book the tickets for you but they will take extra 30 rupees and when you enter the battery auto service is also very bad because they will leave you at a stop and you have to walk to the animals to see them and at some points you an even see the animals there were 4 tigers cages but we manage to see only one tiger which was white and we do not even see the half part of the zoo cause the battery auto driver did not take us to all places this was why i rated the zoo a 2 star and so many other people were also saying that the zoo was not worth it

clean, green and serene area of the campus. With clear directions and maps at multiple places it felt like a treasure hunt adventure. Leopards (such a big tail), hornbill, brazilian blue/green parrots (nature at its best!), must visit!

The zoological park in Delhi is a fantastic destination for animal lovers. With a diverse range of species, including lions, tigers, elephants, and more, it offers a captivating experience. The park's well-maintained enclosures and knowledgeable staff ensure a memorable visit. A must-visit attraction for a delightful day out with family and friends.

If you visit this place, you probably won't even get in.
You have to use online booking only and this only works if you have a Indian sim.
Staff are rude, all congregating together and very unhelpful.
Complete waste of journey and unfriendly for international tourists. Avoid!

Worst tourist spot to waste your energy. Very huge Zoo but poorly kept animals. No drinking water or food available inside! We had a 5 year old who got exhausted due to so much walking. Poor maintenance and worst management. Please avoid and save your energy and time. Free parking is available opposite the Zoo....and ticket booking instant via phone. They should have eateries inside the Zoo....we have been to Singapore and Sydney Zoo and all had excellent restaurants and food zones inside. Indian Government need to hand this Zoo over to private hands.
