Not because scary things come out to play, but the biking trail that goes out from the park has absolutely no lighting at night. Roadworks are still in progress so perhaps that will change in a few months' time. But in the meantime, finish up your cycling by sundown! The bike is big, suggest rent a bike. It's only 100~150 NTD to rent a bike.

This park is humble and modest. It is almost always deserted and the admission is free of cost. You can rent a bicycle or take a stroll through the forest. The sunlight leaks through the vastly covered roof of leaves and it truly makes nature look stunning. I would definitely recommend. Though I would advise bringing water and food yourself... More

There are too many photos on the internet about the Pipa Lake to draw me to the park. The lake is however much smaller than I imagined, though it is indeed picturesque. The overall park biking experienced can be just average. The coastal view is good but not unqiue by the park location compared to the rest part of Taitung.... More

I went with some friends and hiked up "endless" stairs through a variety of trees and foilage, enjoyed the company and scenery.
