beautiful lake to be enjoyed best during off season and when schools have started. Boating, cycling and horse riding, all make for a memorable day.

star shaped lake is one of main attraction of kodaikanal. We took shikara boat and love the boating. You can have paddle boat too. Advantage of shikara boat you can have boating in after noon when crowd is less. Overall good experience.

Boating - 20 min ride takes only upto small distance: better choose self-pedal boat - but care to take precautions cycling and walking are the best or simply sit and watch.

Good entertainment around the lake with horse riding and bicycle hiring and Bryant Park. Children would enjoy this place. We could not get to go on boat since it was quite crowded.

nice clean lake, fun to go for a boat ride. can take a boat with self paddle or with a boatman. we took one with self paddle and was fun, going around the lake, unless it started raining :( we had to rush back to avoid getting drenched.

it was big but just decent lake.. not much space inside to seat or walk around... may be with cycling around could enjoy

the lake is beautiful, the new boating club is spic and span and pretty but the long line of tourist buses, cars, cabs parked all around the lakeside ruin the view and make it impossible for horse rides or cycle rides. why cant the city municipality a) ban the hand carts selling unhygenic street food and littering the area b)keep... The kodai lake is the heart of kodai and all acivity is centred around it.
