We spent a very pleasurable two hours at the museum recently. It's slightly out of town, a bit too far to walk but well worth the trip. They have set the museum up to display the workings of a plantation and the history of the company is also well detailed. It gave us a very interesting insight in to the... More

An "unromantic" place in an otherwise romantic place. This place provides a good knowledge of tea making, and a history of the city.

No Frills Tea Factory - Very self explanatory. Does not present the ambience of a Tea Factory, Gives at most an ambience of a rice or flour mill.

My boyfriend and I went there as part of our Munnar visit. It was really excellent. Nice pictures, explanations and old furnitures which count the history of tea plants in Munnar. Also a good movie. Finally, the most interesting was the small factory they have. It allowed us to really understand how they process the tea and to see every... More

Could see the whole history of Munnar in a single place. Could see the entire tea manufacturing process in one single place. Really enjoyed the experience of being there. You can also see a lot of the old time photos. Makes you feel a lot lot retro and appreciate the hard work put by the earlier generations

Here, the staff gave a bird's eye view on how tea will be produced. Specially, the green tea is worth to point out

The half hour film gave us a perspective about what the pioneers faced when they started out at Munnar The demonstration on the tea making process.provided us with a first hand experience to learn how the leaf becomes the packaged product.. They also have a few tea trees planted outside the museum to give visitors a mini first hand experience... More
