The view is amazing. However it is risky to reach the peak. There are wayside sellers blocking your way. Also some horse ride along the trekking path. Better not to take your kids to this place.

At least an hours climb out of Munnar on the local bus - a great way to travel to this beauty spot. We arrived in between rain showers and found a great view from this high point over to Tamil Nadu plains.

It takes at least an hour from the car park and back if you do not spend too much time at the Top Station. The walk to the view point (7410 feet above MSL) is tiring if you are on the wrong side of 40, but it is certainly worth the trip if you do it leisurely and during the... More

Don't bother if it is cloudy We went and even tackled all of the steps and couldn't see anything but clouds The nicest part was the mob of schoolkids who also couldn't see much There is a small access fee

Most people go to topstation, look at the view, and go back to munnar. We stayed a couple of nights and it was well worth it. It is not just the view that is excellent, it is the whole area. Mano at Mano's homestay took us for a 9 hour walk through tea plantations, villages and forest and it was... More

but it is not worth going down that far and climbing up is really hard, so think twice....and most of the time the view is covered with clouds, so not much of a site either.
