In Goa, again we had to walk to the gate since your vehicle and guide did not have a pass to come into the gate and pick us up at the ship directly. Once we met the guide, we discovered that the vehicle was a station wagon with 3 in the middle and 3 in back, there was no room... More

The roads and streets were narrow and not so well maintained. It is a bizarre mix of century old buildings and the new ones not properly planned. A mismatch of sorts.

Panjim and old goa is a waste of time. Don't stay around here head to the beach somewhere else. Old goa has decent sites but nothing worth making the trip there for.n you need maybe one hour there.

Well.. when i went to visit Old Goa with a group of 8 friends, i thought it would be only churches which would interest me.. but i was so wrong... After an active morning discovering the churches, chapels and goan food, the afternoon came with a surprise :-) we were visiting the Old Goa boat jetty where we found this... More

Goa is reknowned for its sandy beaches and markets. A trip to old Goa is no less fulfilling. Filled with old churches of the most stunning architectural designs, it makes you feel like you are in Europe. If you like history, this is a must visit.

The Oldest part of Goa and surely the most intriguing and eyeball worthy in terms of architecture. The churches and chapels are a well established tourist spot but do take time to simply wander the lanes and by-lanes. Restaurants here are cheap and one can indulge in authentic Goan cuisine without breaking the wallet.

We had a summer vacation this year at Goa and Mangalore which was interesting as well as informative. We started off from Cochin and moved northwards via NH 47 up to Trichur and then we exit the NH 47 to join NH 17 for the rest of our outing. We had a halt at Kannur to break the tiring journey... I was in Goa from 28th to 31st March 2013. I entered Goa from Sawantwadi at dusk. We saw big display board near toll plaza saying entry fee for car Rs. 250/-. Fortunately the toll plaza was not operational but may be soon operational. Keep Entry Fee ready at toll plaza if you wish to enter Goa next time. I... More
