The audiovisuals are great and the small displays were interesting but the greatest disappointment was the toal lack of translation for any other language speakers. In a museum about language this seemed quite odd. The top floor was closed so we only saw half ot it.
It's all about Portuguese language, so if you are not familiarized within that, you might dislike it. They have a special exhibition every year, and it's so well-done! The "Portuguese Square", in last floor, is a must!

Whenever there is a new visitor in Sao Paulo we take him/her to the museum or recommend they go on their own. It is a fantastic interactive museum not only for speakers of Portuguese, but for anyone who enjoys languages. The idea of the "Language square" is wonderful. The ones who understand Portuguese will be very glad to listen to...

If you like portuguese language and enjoy this sort of Thematic Museum... A place to discover bit by bit what this language is about, and a show case of great works produced in this language. It's fun.
An amazing interactive museum! Especially if you are a native speaker or a student of the language. Plan to spend enough time to really appreciate all that it offers. Enjoyable and informative, for both adults and children.
The think in this museum is the idea to make it. They were able to mix the various aspects of the Portuguese culture in a way that children and adults will stick to it. Well worth the visit.
Nice place to visit, from school age kids to any and every adult. A wonderful explanation of Portuguese language origin and evolution, as well as the influence of other cultures into Brazilian-Portuguese. Exhibitions, live and video presentations complete the tour.
This museum is very nice, specially for that ones that would like to understand a bit more about Brazilian culture. You can listen to the different accents all over Brazil regions, see videos, participate on interacting exhibitions. Really recommend.
