Go with comfortable shoes and try one of the trials, they're signalized and there's different difficult levels. Good place for bring a basket for a picnic also.

Beautiful nature, well preserved, where you can enjoy the araucaria trees, carp lake, and walk on several trails. It has a coffee shop, gift store, information desk and restrooms which are not very good, though.

After not being there for over 8 years we were quite disappointed from what the Horto is offering; the walk to the small fall ("cachoeira") is quite boring and disappointing

This is an excellent place to go as a family to do bike rides, hikes... There is also a 45 minute train ride through the forest. It is indeed a big forest as cougars can occasionally be seen for those who venture into the remote areas of the park!

Great place to spend a few hours in contact with nature and it is a pleasure to go on their tours and to walk in the trails. On the last holiday I went there, however, I gave up entering the park due to a huge line of cars outside... But during regular weekends the place is just a heaven of... More

What a beautiful nature walk in the forest of brazil. We saw amazing Brazilian pine trees called Araucaria. Some trunks were incredibly wide and tall. They look like trees from a Dr Seuss tale. We saw a beautiful water fall. We ended the day at an excellent restaurant at th bottom of the trail. They served local fish and delicious... More

Great base from which to hike. Trails for all tastes...from easy to rugged, from short to long. All through the Atlantic forest ...Araucaria pines, high land grassland, streams, bromelias...

You must go there. A little forrest preserved and very beautiful. Do not forget: cel phone, solar cream, water and confortable shoes. You can run or walk in the area by 2, 3 or even more than 10 kilometers.
