This is the old bridge, which has completely gone out of order since the construction of the other adjacant new bridge connecting the continent with the island. It is nice to go there in the evening when it is beautifully lit or to watch it from a nocturnal landing plane, like I did tonight when coming back from Brasilia.

It's the city post card. It's very beautiful, but unfortunately the government doesn't take care of it as it should.

this is the old bridge that connected this strange island with the continent. then for whatever even stranger reason they built a new one and this has been renovated for about 30 years :) of course it is closed. a nice means for typical third world corrupt local officials ( i imagine e mayor quimby from the simpsons haha) to...
