This beautiful treasure of a beach can only be reached by a tough hike through woods and brush and two hills sometimes offering mosquitoes and other varmits...but the effort is completely worthwhile when you arrive at the view of the ocean and empty beach....which you can practically call your own while you are there...There are no concessions or other distractions...

It is priceless to go to a marvelous and uncrowded beach like that even on a weekend summerday. You can get there by boat (R$ 20 from Pantano do Sul, R$ 30 from Armação -- each way; prices of Jan/13) or hiking.
You have 2 options for hiking: 1) from Praia do Matadeiro it takes usually 2,5-3 hours each way....

Great waves and a awesome track to get there, a true paradise. I really recommed everybody to go there. It really worths the hikking. Its a preserved natural reserve.
One of the 5 star beaches in Brazil. Only reacheable by foot - 45 min walk. Beautiful and definitly worth the walk.
