A small paradise island, with overpriced places where to stay and to eat. Food is actually bad (if you are lucky you get frozen fish brought from Curitiba down to the sea). But the beaches, and the rustic climate, the car-less experience, are unique.

this is a smal island em front of city paranaqua, there you will take a boot to arrive to the island. Nice beaches, if you will go there not on high season, it is better, not so much people. Wether there is mostly good.

We stayed for a weekend. this is a large island but you can take boats to othere areas of the island and then do some walking form there. There are no cars so we left our car on the mainland and took a ferry to the island.

We visited during the off-season and stayed at Encantadas so had the place to ourselves almost. Beautiful Island! Ilha do mel is an amazing place to spent 3 days relaxing and holding hands with a boy/girlfriend! With a bike you can go everywhere in the island and appreciate the beautiful view. The Island´s Biodiversity is something that you make you take pictures all the time. it is definitely an island to relax and to date!
