Nice place that combine arts, music a cool bar in the ancient building right on the sea where you can watch sunset while eating good food. On saturdays they have live jazz outside the building on the water.

It is a beautiful place. The architecture intervention in the old building, the new sculpture garden and the insertion in the urban and natural landscape are amazing. The restaurant location was lovely. (Unfortunately, the museum was between exhibits - you might want to call first, but the restaurant apparently was always open). The Solar Cafe at the MAM is an incredible experience for dinner! We ate at one of two tables in an open archway overlooking the water at sunset. Lovely. The space and location are really lovely, but we were hoping for an exhibition or two, but half the buildings were empty (not sure why they had staff at the entrances) and the one exhibition we did see was very conceptual and pretty boring. The sculpture garden and the little beach are very pretty.

The owner of our guesthouse (Open House - awesome) took a bunch of us to the jam session on Saturday night. Great music and awesome atmosphere with the stars above you, old buildings the sea and local favela around you. Great vibe and definitely try a dacquiri - yum!

Solar do Unhão is a place that everyone who goes to Salvador definitely should try. Saturdays the place handle a Jazz jam. Very mixed people. Beverages, snacks and music... Beautiful sunset all afternoon. There's also a Cinema, a fancy coffee (but not too expensive), Galeries and Workshops of hand-crafts.
