My husband and I did the Old Town Alexandria tour on our honeymoon and we LOVED it! We met the tour guides, Chris and Trevor (Trevor was training) in Market Square. They seeked us out as we were waiting for them. There was a total of six in our group, plus Chris and Trevor. We walked around town in areas... More

We did the Historic Old Town Alexandria Food Tour, and it was great! Our guide (Lynn) was super!! We did four restaurants, with a wide mix of flavors and types of food. The portions are just right to get plenty to taste, but not leave you stuffed and miserable. You start with a tasty appetizer, walk to another restaurant for... More

Good mixture of historical and food tour. Well organised and very good guide. Restaurants well chosen and food very good. Especially enjoyed the cocktail at the first restaurant. And the scallops at the second. While the Lebanese restaurant was perfectly OK thought it did not fit in with the historical theme. The jelly cake was surprisingly good.

We really should have tried this earlier in our vacation, as we had a really nice time! We took the Old Town Alexandria Food Tour. We walked all around Old Town Alexandria. Our guide, Leslie, was extremely knowledgeable. There were 10 of us in the tour, some locals, others not. The locals said they learned some new facts about Alexandria... More

My son treated me to a wonderful food tour in Old Alexandria. We covered an area of about a square mile and learned so much about the history of the area and the times. We walked to four very different restaurants. The food in each restaurant was delicious. They were each set up with a long table set just for... More

What a great way for me and my out of town guests to experience the food and history of Capital Hill. The food was fantastic and plentiful. We tried 3 different cuisines. I really enjoyed learning some new things about the area - both about the history and the architecture. Chris was engaging and knowledgable. If you're looking for something... More

We loved our tour. We wandered old town Alexandria, heard a bit of history ... and ate a great meal spread out in four restaurants (table service, no stand up service). The restaurants change often (by design). The best was in an old firehouse and we were served seared scallops on a bed of "Israeli Couscous Risotto". Yummmm! The tour... More

I treated my family to a tour of Old Town Alexandria, and it was a perfect afternoon outing. If you're looking for something different to get out and about while in the DC area, this is a worth while attraction, showcasing such a beautiful part of N. Virgina. I'm hopeful to try some of the other neighborhood tours they offer,... More

Ada was a fantastic guide, providing us a great background on the history of Alexandria. Spent just the right amount of time in each restaurant. The managers at Virtue Feed and Grain truly made us feel welcome and informed about their restaurant and the background on our drinks and food. Would highly recommend. We can't wait to try another neighorhood.

Went on the Gastronomical Georgetown tour, and it was fine. Met some very nice people on the tour which made it a plus. Otherwise it was sort of catered to a hipster crowd which can be a bit of a turn off. Food was decent, the last stop "Baked and Wired" was busy and a bit full of itself.
