A must see if you are even just passing through town and have a couple hours to kill, but could easily spend a whole day there.

I recently took my granddaughter to the I Max theater to see "Flight of the Butterflies. We were both captivated. She said it was her favorite "animal" movie. It was in 3D. She was reaching out and trying to catch the butterflies. It was both educational and entertaining. I ended up going back to see it with my sister and... More

That meant we couldn't enter normally. The ground floor is only interesting if you want to know about Indians battling Spaniards. I found it... More

Great place to spend a Sunday with the family. Lots of things to see/do/ and learn about Texas. Also has an Imax, which the kids enjoy the most.

Loved the museum, self-guided tour, liked going at our own pace, lots to touch, feel, and get involved in. Loved the gift shop too, great Texas items to buy for my relatives who are not lucky enough to live in Texas.

A good place to understand what it means to be Texan. Take your picture next to the enormous LONE STAR and tweet it to your friends back home!

If you want to find out why Texans are so proud of their state, start by seeing the 45 minute I-MAX showing at the Texas Museum. Then tour the rest of the museum and learn about the history of this state.

This museum is fabulous!! Creative and interesting displays that make history come to life tell the story of Texas. Just enough to look at, read, and watch. So interesting. I wish all museums were this good. Took us a couple hours to see. We parked at the Capitol and walked over. Didn't see any of the add on IMAX type... More
