An amazing experience. Have had the joy of seeing Midsummer's Night Dream (Puck was great!) and Romeo and Juliet. From the sets to the actors, costumes, and productions themselves, you won't be disappointed. Backstage passes are also available for a minimal fee.

We were quite disappointed by the performance of Taming of the Shrew. Perhaps we had too high expectations from all the great reviews of Ashland performances. It was in a modern setting, with a KFC bucket as one of the star attractions (really!!) and a rock band for music. There were also a few liberties taken with the dialogue. We... More

Great performances inside & out. All the theatres were small & intimate with excellent seating. Box office staff were extremely helpful! The Elizabethan theatre was a rare treat but be sure to bring warm clothes & blankets for June performances.

One of Shakespeare's less well-known plays; performances were generally good, especially, the doctor (Anthony Heald) and Cloten.

We were thoroughly engaged in this year's production of "Streetcar Named Desire", but disappointed with the modern version of "Taming of the Shrew". "Robin Hood" was entertaining, but could use some tightening up in the writing and acting.

Wonderful play with contemporary adaptation. The King was an amazing actor! The setting was creative, most seats seem to be good, it is a small theatre.

With so many plays to choose from, there is something for everyone. They are all well done and some are better than others. You can always count on walking away raving about at least one of them.

The Shakespeare Festival fortunately has more than just Shakespeare. This repetoire theater is fabulous. How the actors appear in two or three different plays each week for months on end, often working six nights a week is beyond me. The acting and costumes and originality are all outstanding. In MY FAIR LADY, we got front-row seats, and it was divine.... More

Our group of four enjoyed two plays at the Elizabethan theatre, a Prologue and the Backstage tour. As every year over the past several, we had a great time! This year the productions we saw were creatively interpreted with especially beautiful costumes and a spectacular set. It is early in the season, but all went well with all performances and... More

I have visited the Festival many times, both with friends and with my family. I have seen over 15 shows, including shows in all three theatres, the Angus Bowmer theatre (the large, main stage), the Thomas theatre (the newest theatre and a smaller, intimate blackbox) and the Elizabethean Theatre (the classic outdoor theatre). All three provide a different experience, although... More
