My conducted tour guide took us to this grand old building which indeed is a beautifully preserved and functional heritage building.I being from INDIA,could instantly recognize it as a relic of the British Raj and its unmistakable blend of Moghal Architecture delighted me as many such magnificent heritage buildings exist in INDIA

Who would think that a railroad station could be a great place to visit... but it is! A beautiful islamic architecture gives this train station a special touch that makes it very interesting to see.

it is good to know that they are still using the building and they were able to keep the structure and its beauty. it is also a difficult building to picture without getting hit by a car. maybe they should look into reviving the place to ensure tourists who appreciate architecture would be more willing to go and check it... Once the busiest station of Kuala Lumpur, this "small" station would definitely be worthwhile visiting to appreciate its outstanding architecture. Try taking pictures after alighting the KTM train on platform 2 or 3. Go to platform 1 after official exit and enter the old station. Breath taking pictures of the station could be got alongside the opposite administrative building of... More

A legacy of the Empire but what a wonderful building and thank you Malaya for preserving it. Part of our city tour and very near the mosque. A lovely building and worth a stop for the photos.

Great buildings to see and capture history. Did not see the museum, so this would be worthwhile for "rail buffs". The main thing I wanted to point out is travel on KMT from KL Sentral to Woodlands (Singapore). The train is alright a little dated, but can't complain about ticket prices, however going both directions this January it felt like... More

I always like railway stations as these are usually the oldest places of the city. Even those cities which have little to offer for tourists Railway stations always have some interesting features. Nice clean building with attractive exterior which has strong Indian-Mughal-malay influence. with minarets and door archway of unique style. A small museum is importnat part of the station... More

This building is still a functional railway station, the outside is very pretty and much appreciated sight in a city of very few old buildings. The inside is just a railway station with the usual stuff, nothing special, but the outside is lovely.

Walk from Pasar Seni LRT station following the signposts to Masjid Negara and you will find yourself in the middle of this beautiful almost deserted railway station. Let you inspire for some minutes by the wonderful "Raj"style architecture and you will see, feel and hear the steam engines, the bustle of the travellers, porters and merchants! A must see for...
