The museum itself is beautiful, and its displays are wide-ranging and informative. Of particular interest were the models of important Islamic sites, including Mecca and Medina.

A definite must to visit if you travel to KL. The art was SUPBERB and it was a pleasant way to stay cool. Such an impressive collection in an interesting area near the National Mosque

Worth to stop by if you're visiting the National Mosque, just on opposite side of the road. Very educational and the items displayed were impressive. Would've been more interesting if they had provided audio guides or a guided tour.

i have an interest in art so museums are usually a big draw for me. there seems a general lack of good museums in south east asia. in KL though, this is probably the museum to go to. it's quite nice, fairly nice exhibits, but only good for a few hours or so. mostly about islamic arts.

Highly reccomended and a must see during your visit to KL. I loved the different displays and the story that they told. Quite extensive collection of holy books which especially impressed me. One of the best musea I have visited in Asia.

I really like it here, there's a lot of information to be studied. A lot of replicas are on display. There's 5 domes here (counting the upside-down dome), with lovely motives. I personally loves the blue one.

The Museum itself is fascinating, with some superb, well-displayed exhibits charting the history of Islamic art – and it's also very light, airy, cool and comfortable in most areas. Well worth a visit. BUT I would advise going there by taxi. We caught the train and walked, but the signs at the station aren't very good. I think we must... More

After reading several reviews about this museum I was actually expecting much more than what I saw. The place and building certainly offer a peaceful and fresh retreat from the heat and the traffic of the city, but they are not really something special. Collections inside are well kept and displayed, but very limited in number. Facilities are good, entrance... More

A lovely airy and well-designed building but the exhibitions themselves were fairly uninspiring. There was not enough explanation as to what we were seeing in the display cabinets and, given that I don't read Jawi, the beautiful books were thus rather lost on me. I left feeling that there was rather more that could be done to improve the visitor... More
