Visited Petaling Street last night and very disappointed. Haven't been for a number of years and now it is just one long throng of stalls and the ever present drone of "Hey Mister, DVD, watches, one more t-shirt". Most of the food stalls and the vibe that used to be there are just overshadowed by cheap knock off sales pitches.... More

Lots of knock off goods to be purchased and great food stalls to try. Our hostel was in Chinatown and overall I felt safe here which wasn't always the case in Kuala Lumpur. Be prepared to be gawked at and thrown inappropriate comments if you are not clothed from head to toe. More
