the good things about the gallery are you can find all the brochures in one shot just infront of the entrance and there are good place around the gallery to take pictures
Located in front of independent square, it provides and excellent oportunity to have a look on KL history, development and handcraft. You can see beautiful models of the city, the gallery and the petronas towers. The model of the city is massive, and the gift shop have amazing souvenirs, and pieces of wooden art. After going to the gallery, I... More
Basically, this place tells the story of how Kuala Lumpur came about. It's interesting to know the history, plus how to get to this point. There's also some kind of LED models light up in one of the rooms, where there's a short video on the city. Souvenir shop is on the first level, where nice momento are available for... More
Stuff were friendly, great info and history about the city. The gallery has a whole miniature size of KL city which was amazing. The wood crafts (ARCH) were very unique but some were pricey depends on the size of the art. I would definitely suggest to visit this place.
After a few hours of walking round KL looking for places, the City Gallery was a welcome cool stop. Interesting exhibition about the history of the city in a clean and pleasant building
Visited here from hop on off bus tour. Intricately detailed wood carvings and models of buildings Quite an interesting visitors shop with very reasonably priced gifts. There are some displays on history and also on architecture.
On Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, there is a free tour of Merdaka Square offered at 9a which is well worth your time. The gallery itself is ok. Good place to get information about KL, see a huge model of the city, get some much needed air conditioning or use the bathroom.

They have also incorporated miniatures of the historical buildings around Merdeka square along with some tidbits of the history of KL. U may also... More
