We were fortunate to visit on the 1st day of the fountains for this year. The grounds of the Palace are beautiful and the fountains unlike any I have seen anywhere else. Fountains are trees, ducks, dragons ... everything imagineable. Beautiful, peaceful setting.

We were in St Peter during four days of clear skies and sun and the experience of visiting the gardens is one of a kind.
Be sure to arrive before 11:00 o clock to see the fountains with music

The palace itself is beautiful and intimate. It is rather warm inside as the large group moved slowly. But the garden is magnificent. An excellent place to stroll to breath in the Baltic air and take photos with more than 100 fountains.

You can easily spend a day in Petergoff. The place is magnificent especially when fountains are working. There are english tours leave from Nevsky daily offered by the Eccelectica Tours - very good price too (http://www.eclectica-guide.ru/rec/rec.php). The tours are done by minivan 8-10 people max. The quility is very good.
