In the Annex is housed the largest impressionist collection outside France, the works of all the great masters of whatever period you wish to think of, is right here.
More in scale to the human form and ability to assimilate and consume than the Tretyakov Gallery, which I also visited, but was completely overwhelmed by.
Similarly lacking in English translations...

We visited the museum in 2 parts. The first time we did the 19-20th C. aisle and the wonderful temp exhibition about fashion and the vision of the female body (in collaboration with magazine Vogue). One of my fave exhibition.

Visited twice the Place. We'll be back soon to Moscow and of course come to Pushkin Museum again. You can stay forever in front of some pictures...and come back again and again.

With only half a day, we did some review online before hand and decided to focus on the small building (European Art Building). A absolutely fabulous collection of impressionist works!
