You'll love this cathedral, it's a unique architecture and decoration. It's one of the first things you see in the city centre and it's a marking spot for all tourists. you should also see the place at night, there's a light that makes the cathedral look very romantic.

It's hard to find the words to describe it. Historical place, very important role in Romanian Revolution, religious symbol for every christian.

It seems this is the main place in Timisoara. Every tour guide will start the story of Timisoara at this place. In front of it is beautiful Victory Square and on the back is river.

Centrally located and distinctive, nice example of an Orthodox cathedral, beautiful and often holds services. Worth a visit.

The outside of the Cathedral was just as interesting as the inside. I was able to take pictures and happened into a service.

It is a beautiful building, that can be visited daily. You can assist the orthodox mass in the weekends and get to know the orthodox religion. It is also near the Opera House.

The Orthodox Cathedral in the center of Timisoara is a nice church. There are similar churches in all large Romanian Cities. The exterior is especially attractive at sunset and when lit after dark.

Imposing from the outside, the interior is a must see, it's stunning. The architecture is lovely and there are museum pieces to view. It's a working Church too so be respectful of those who are worshipping.

One of the most impozing churches in Timisoara, it was built between 1936-1940 as a symbolb of the reunication of the Banat area with Romania. It has an unique style that combines the traditional romanian style with the bisantin-moldavian. Under the building itself ther is a wast museum that has a wonderfull collection of religious clothing, pictures of saints, jewelery,... More

This is the cathedral that closed the doors rather than provide sanctuary during the revolution. As a result, during the revolution in 1989 several heroes were shot and died on the front steps.
