Without the hassles! Just a busy commercial street, not large and easy to walk along, filled with all sorts of clothing, music, Bollywood shops. Fun!

Maybe as we were there in the day... But for the life of me why I can see this is a top attraction. It's good to keep you off the main road on the way to Canon st though.
When i came here with my parents 30 years ago when my father was attached with RAAF(Australian Air Force),i had visited this place numerous time s and i can still remember some of the shops here but the name had changed. If you want to eat authentic Indian food, this is the place, especially for food served on banana leaf. Also the place is like you're in India with the loud Indian music and songs blaring.
I still haven't got to go to India, but surely I think this is what it must be when I finally go. Enjoy the smell, buzz, sights and Bollywood music. This is one of the things we loved about Georgetown, some places when you turn around a corner you're in a different city.
Especially in the evening the area becomes alive and people getting street food mania there. The Little India quarter is surely a must visit in Penang.
Bring a camera with lots of space for pictures, bottled water, and an appetite for food and adventure! Amble around and smile! Take a genuine interest in what you see and you will discover how relational and friendly Penang is!
These little streets are ideal for walking and scooters, not cars. Allow yourself to meander through the side streets since...

I had Roti Canai from a street stall for RM1. It was absolutely delicious. Just loose yourself in the streets and soak up...

We highly recommend the hire of a trishaw, we were not so sure at first but ours took us to little nicks and crannies we...
