You must go and see. But to going there a little bit hard. Atleast you can go there only for one hour by car.
Almaty is situated in mountains. There are many many places now constructed during last 5-10 years around the city. BAL - one of the favorite place to visit for Almaty residents. Now it's very easy. Road was fully reconstructed and it's beautiful with asphalt. Any car can go there without any trouble.

definitely worth seeing. only difficulty is getting there.. very winding roads that needs a strong stomach. very nice to see local nomad yourts on the way there. beautiful place to take pictures
