Walked to this place from Narita train station where the hotel bus had dropped me off. Although I wasn't planning to visit the temple I came across it and wandered in. Really nice setting in what is in the middle of a pretty busy city. Good few photo opportunities and nice to see some of "old Japan" while there. More

It's a grand temple. I especially like to walk the hilly garden. April to May and November are probably the best as you won't be pestered by mosquitoes. More

NARITA hotels usually have a free shuttle to Narita train station. The shuttle bus stops right next to Narita city hall. There is a Lawson (like 7 & 11) right across the street.
