When you walking along this road it's like traveling through time. Do not hurry if you do not have to and take as many photos as you can because this place is perfect for taking photos. You will probably come down from the top and pass this marble way on your way down. This city had over 200 000 people... More

I was amazed that I could walk on a street that people almost 2000 years ago walked on. You can still see the chariot ruts and little messages from ancient christians in code.

You will have to walk down this way to visit Ephesus from the top. The whole site of Ephesus is uneven so plan to traverse uneven terrain. I dont know why this site is broken into some many listings on Tripadvisor other than Ephesus is too outstanding to list only the city itself.

Marble way goes along the western slopes of Mount Panayir. It is built in uneven marble blocks. Deep grooves of the wheels are still visible. On the sides of the street are ruins of Roman columned portico.

Feeling of the past, feeling of belonging to the same ancestors, or human beings who lived centuries ago. And astonishment of the culture they have created in the past.
