Definitely go here to see an incredible selection of silk vendors, and the best prices in Bursa- perhaps all of Turkey. You are buying real silk, so don't expect a bargain but to get a good price, buy everything from 1 shop.

This is a very pleasant experience as a tourist in a huge shopping hub interspersed with tree covered squares and mosques. Parts of the buildings are from the 1400s and still beautiful. The vendors are not at all pushy and will take time to show things if you are interested as theyare proud of Turkey.

I went there with a local friend from Bursa to purchase silk scarves. There are many types available, but I like the hand-painted ones the best.
It was very interesting to visit an old han. There was a small raised mosque in the centre of the courtyard which which was otherwise filled with tables of people eating and drinking. The courtyard was very attractive with green trees in it. There were some beautiful silk scarves and other garments on display.

With enormous silk...

now a tea garden with the small central mosque no longer in use. Worth a relaxing hour of tea and conversation.
There are many caravanserais around Bursa, Koza Han is one of the most popular and best preserved Han (han = caravanserai). Built in 1491 with 95 rooms, this square compound now is a silk market.
